60th Birthday Venue Vote
The WJ Class of 1977 will have a group 60th Birthday Party the weekend of October 11-13, 2019. For the Saturday evening main event, we have researched dozens of venues in Bethesda, Rockville, Gaithersburg, and Germantown. Using classmate feedback from the 2018 year-end survey, we've narrowed the venues to three choices. If you would like to see photos of the three venues, click here.

A. Hershey’s Restaurant & Bar
Hershey's, owned by WJ Class of 1982 alumnus Lisa Gorman, is situated in an historic house set off the beaten path in Gaithersburg. Our venue is the entire restaurant and classmates will be able to order the dinner of their choice along with a cash bar. Expect to pay about $25-$35 for dinner (including meal, soft drinks, tax & tip) and, if you choose, about $20 for three alcoholic drinks at the cash bar.

B. BlackRock Center for the Arts
The BlackRock Center for the Arts is located in the Germantown Town Center which offers restaurants/bars, movies/shopping, and a Fairfield Inn hotel. Our venue is a private room on the second floor and an outside terrace with views of the Town Center . We have a package deal that includes a buffet dinner (4 courses - appetizers to desserts) and open bar (wine & beer).
Total Price Per Person (food and drinks): $75
C. Positano Ristorante Italiano
Positano is located in downtown Bethesda, which offers restaurants/bars, movies/shopping, and several hotels. Our venue is a private room in the restaurant and there is no outdoor space. The Italian buffet (4 courses - appetizers to desserts) costs $65 and, if you choose, add about $30 for three alcoholic drinks at the cash bar.
